Peter Luff Minister DE&S MoD Visits Marshall Land Systems

Cambridge, 12th January 2011; As part of a wider visit to the Marshall Group of Companies, Mr Peter Luff MP, Minister for Defence Equipment, Support and Technology, and Mr Oliver Welch, Minister’s Private Secretary, visited Marshall Land Systems. After meeting Sir Michael Marshall CBE DL, Chairman of Marshall of Cambridge Holdings, and Robert Marshall, Chief Operating Officer Mr Luff accompanied members of the MLS senior management team on a tour around the company.

During his visit Mr Luff saw and discussed capability delivery with the subsidiary companies highlighting the overall breadth of capabilities within MLS. Marshall Specialist Vehicles demonstrated work on Exploitation of IEDs, Regeneration and C4ISTAR, whilst Marshall Vehicle Engineering exhibited the MOD Support Vehicle and the privately developed Equipment Prime Mover version of the Support Vehicle. Marshall SDG demonstrated their UGV’s; QUESTAR, another PV activity, and FURNESS and discussed their relevance to IED Prevent and Destroy.
